He also works with various youth sports programs in the Barrington area.
Dr. Jeff Parkin
Dr. Jeff Parkin is a Doctor of Chiropractic with experience in treating pediatrics through geriatrics. He graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 2009. He is also a certified clinical nutritionist (CCN), a certified D.A.N. Practitioner – Defeat Autism Now!, an American College of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer (ACSM-CPT), a certified provider in Active Release Technique (ART), functional movement certified (FMS) and a certified Kinesiotape provider (CKTP).
He was drawn to chiropractic when, in August 2001, his son Luke was diagnosed as Autistic at the age of nineteen months. Dr. Parkin was told that his son would have put in a home at the age of five for the rest of his life. “The medical model of health care offered me no alternatives.” About a year later, Dr.Parkin took Luke to see a chiropractor. Even after his first adjustment, there was a noticeable difference. His hyperactivity and hypersensitivities decreased. Soon after that, Dr. Parkin and his three daughters also started receiving chiropractic care. He had tried many different kinds of “alternative” therapies, but regular chiropractic care was the most effective.
After two years of receiving chiropractic care, Dr. Parkin decided it was time for him to become the doctor who treated his family. “I wanted to focus on treating them with only natural therapies. Focus and learning were no longer a problem for me. All of my allergy, digestive problems and infections were gone. My personal mission is to educate parents and children on how to stay healthy and live a full, active life with chiropractic wellness care.”
