Extremity adjustments are chiropractic adjustments in joints that are not contained in the spine. Whether caused by arthritis, torn or strained muscles, ligaments, or tendons a dysfunctional joint can be painful and can lead to tissue damage.  Extremity adjustments are helpful in treating TMJ, carpal or tarsal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, bursitis and plantar fascitis to name a few.

Joint areas such as hips, knees, ankles, feet, shoulders, elbows and wrists can benefit from specific extremity adjustments.

Dr. Van Ness is certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and Mally Extremity Dyskinetics.  Drs. Van Ness and Parkin have both received training in Charrette Extremity Adjusting Protocols for the conservative management of extremity injuries as well.   Drs. Van Ness and Parkin enjoy helping elite athletes and weekend warriors feel and play their best.
